Brian & Jane Ensor established Silkwood in 1986, with superfine yarns, hand-dyed carded sliver and knits, from both their own farm and from New Zealand's top lines of finest wools and natural fibres, to produce "Silkwood Designer Yarns" and from these, original and exclusive designer handknits, handpainted silks and fibre creations.

Jane Ensor trained at Grays School of Art in Scotland. Her designs sell internationally under a variety of labels. With a background in high country fine wool production, Brian manages yarn production and marketing.

A vibrant display alongside local arts and crafts.
